Installed rc1 (using uefi with secure switched off) yesterday. So far everything works fine (including all the multimedia RPMs from Packman) with one exception.
My system is set to auto-logon and that works fine but if I log off from kde - my log on password is treated as a wrong password - incorrectly. Is there a fix for this problem? Thanks
There should be a list of names (existing users). You have to click on a name to select it before you enter a password.
This is actually confusing. When there is only one defined user – a likely situation for a new install – it looks as if that user has been selected. It hasn’t. You must click that user name before entering the password.
the only way found, on a hp laptop, to stop Auto-Login (single user),
was to enable another user, then a pop-up window came up with the
information that Auto-Login would be switched off for the original user
up to that point -System Settings --System Administration —Login Screen
----Convenience -----Enable ------Auto-Login setting had been ignored
suggest a new user profile is initiated, then re-select Auto Login for
the original user profile if required
cheers
Nb. its also possible the passwords became mixed, single user password became
root password (which was later changed manually via yast)
original user password remained intact
this was after a DVD upgrade from 12.3 + TW to 13.1 RC1
The theme has already been changed in Factory to include a username input field again, this should be in RC2 then I think.

fix bnc#844247 for nis login
fix bnc#841719 clickable list again
Yes, I noticed that. I think it is a good change. And I do hope that change shows up in RC2.
My own experience with this:
I normally install from the DVD, and I tell the installer to import users from a prior version of linux.
So I start with 3 users. I see the list and recognize that I have to select a user. This was just natural behavior.
But then I tried one install with live KDE, where there is no opportunity to import users. So when the login screen came up with only one user in the list, I fell into the trap and the login failed (I had not selected a user).
