first: do NOT panic and start trying everything you can because it IS
possible to do more damage than good…

the pic you posted does NOT say any drive is corrupt–so, do NOT try
to “fix” that…rather it says you don’t have an application which can
open them…

but, that doesn’t make sense…tell us: what operating system and
version are you running…i can see you have KDE, but we can’t see
which version…and, is this a fresh new install…or did it work a
while and suddenly you couldn’t access some drives…

use patience and calmness…

thank you for your reply
I install this OS today for first time
this is my system information:

Click for pic

Ok from the command line show us output of

mount

Note you can copy and paste in/from the konsole by using the menus

You should access your drives via the file manager anyway.
In kde they need to be entered in fstab for ease of use

cat /etc/fstab

and as su -

fdisk -l

Let us see the results, and we can advise

Hi,

Could you please put output between

YOUR OUTPUT HERE

? Makes it much more readable.

Also, post the output Caf4926 asked for. I don’t quite understand how you got to having an fstab like this. Something went wrong during the partitioning stage of the install. And…like DenverD says, do not start trying things in the mean time. You might cause (serious) damage.

Some strange device mapper results
I can’t decide if the OP is using LVM or not

Equally strange, the windows entries look OK.

Please people… If you do strange stuff - expect strange happenings.

what kind of hair-brain file system has Mr. Bill let loose on the
world this time?

my manual for mount doesn’t say i can read the “fuseblk” file system,
does yours?

This is not readable. Please put that inside code tags, as you were told.
Do not wrap lines.

I think, or guess, that ntfs3g works in user space through fuseblk. Or that
it is possible to do it that way.

No, that’s an encrypted home partition.

in partition step i rescan the Hard Disk and set the swap and root and home by manual by my self and i think maybe problem comes out from here :frowning:

and the other thing is that i see the error in system’s log when it comes up and it is about it can not mount the swap and in the partition of my OS it’s not mount.

there is the pics for help :

Exactly which of your partitions are you unable to access?

It could just be a matter of chown’ing the directories where they are mounted.
Did you say that you can mount them when run as root?

My mount directory had permission issues:

myuser@linux-h87v:~> cd /media
myuser@linux-h87v:/media> ls -l
total 12
drwxr-xr-x 5 myuser users 4096 2010-09-29 21:54 data
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 2010-12-11 17:33 Documents
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 2010-12-11 17:33 Windows

Notice how Windows and Documents are owned by root.

sudo chown myuser:users Documents
sudo chown myuser:users Windows

I still do not understand the problem, your description is too vague.
What exact error are you getting? Paste them.

You could try pasting the output of “mount” and perhaps “swapon -s”

Thanks to all

I can access my drive in this path /root/windows and all of them are mount except swap and now i don’t have swap.
swap doesn’t mount and in the start up log of system it say fail to mount swap :frowning: and i don’t know why? :((

and for the drives i can’t access them from my computer and are not in my places as a partition and I add them manually as a folder in Dolphin places.

Swap is never “mounted”. It is used.
