There is a problem with network manager and the samba service nmb in openSUSE 12.3 64 bit fresh install, if you check the samba services status you will notice that the service nmb is not running, if you start it I will run but the next time you reboot the pc the service will be down again, even if the service has been activated in yast, to solve this I selected the connection and unchecked the option “system connection” in network manager, rebooted the pc and now the service was up and running, then I checked again the option “system connection” in network manager and rebooted again and now the problem is gone.
