I’m not sure if this is the best place to post this, so feel free to move it to a different sub-forum.
I’m new to openSUSE (I used Kubuntu from Oneiric till now). After installing everything and doing an upgrade, I updated my repos to Tumbleweed (or at least attempted to). Now, when I try to upgrade again, there appears to be a missing dependency:
When I try to install the workspace branding package, I get 25 or so problems with solutions. I choose the downgrade option for each package, they get downloaded, and then I get this message after KDM is installed:
I can log out or reboot my computer, log back in, and repeat the same process, but I always run into the same problem. I have no issues logging in. I’ve found various other forums where this error message has been mentioned, but I haven’t found a solution. I assume this has to do with my repo list, but I have no idea what’s wrong with it.
Awesome, thank you. I was never able to find a correct list of Tumbleweed repos. That got me out of dependency hell; I’ll have to see if the KDM problem works itself out now.
Seeing packages that are not going to be updated is normal. You told the system to take these packages from the Tumbleweed repo, by switching to Tumbleweed.
