Hi… for about a week i’m facing this problem with my opensuse 11 system that whenever i try to install or update anything through yast2 or yast (cli) it gives an error saying
“Error: INVALID:Package kdelibs4-doc-4.1.1-52.2 fails integrity check. Do you want to retry?”
For any package from any repository its giving the same error.
Can someone help?

Mate, you have repo’s all over the place.
Which desktop do you use most? kde or gnome?
even if i enable just one of them… lets say kde4 factory… n try to update kdelibs… its giving the same error.

Get your repos down to the necessities only as mentioned and then try:
zypper clean -a
rpm --rebuilddb
i removed all repos… just added kde4 factory… and even after that im getting the same error.

Try deleting the package for now, it’s only documentation.
Have you cleaned up all temp files.
did everything u guys told… cleaned the /tmp folder, removed all repos… did rpm --rebuilddb
its still not working, is it a unique problem?

Did you actually delete: kdelibs4-doc??
its a dependency for a kde-devel package… i’ll have to delete both of them?
do you think its because of a doc package? i haven’t been able to run yast frm anyhere (cli, gnome, kde…)
is there anyway i can stop yast from doing the md5/sha sum check before installing packages?
Have you tried deleting it
Then at the dependency error box, choose ignore/
You will be fine without it.
alright did that… again same error when i try to install anything.
any idea why this might be happening?
Bad idea to ignore dependencies get you into a lot of trouble with apps not working and may lead to an unstable system

I am having the same problem with Yast/Control Center using Opensuse 11.0 I cannot update anything through Yast and keep getting an error message “cannot access installation media” opensuse-11.0-Oss (medium 1) or “download failed” /noarch/openoffice_org-templates-en-2.0.4.88.1.noarch.rpm not found on medium Index of /distribution/11.0/repo/oss
if I try the command:
zypper lr
I get only three lines:
opensuse-11.0-Oss enabled yes
opensuse-11.0-Updates enabled yes
opensuse-11.0-Non-Oss enabled yes
I try to update the basics in Yast, but it adds (when doing online update) english templates for online office and that is the one that comes up first and says “download failed” or the one dealing with openoffice-thesaurus … not found on medium", etc… it’s very frustrating!
