S L O W D O W N !!

i’ve used Linux for close to ten years and i’ve never yet needed to
delete any of ~/.confg, ~/.kde or ~/.kde4 to fix anything

at the very least, do NOT delete them, instead RENAME them (the system
can’t find and use /home/[you]/.confg.OLD or ~/.kdeSCREWED or ~/.kde4FUBAR

when you have a problem the FIRST thing to do is
THINK!
try to figure out what you just did that messed up the system and then
try to UNDO what you just did prior to the problem showing itself…

what does Ctrl+Alt+Delete even do in openSUSE, do you know? i don’t!
but, by default i do not think it causes a clean shutdown and
reboot…does it?

so, when you first found that Ctrl+Alt+Delete didn’t do whatever you
thought it should, was that the ONLY problem or what was the other
problem which caused you to want to try to force a Windows[tm] style
fix everything, Hail Mary, reboot?
