Hi All,
I am an opensuse (11.1) newbie. I want to download GRASS GIS through Georepo. I think I correctly set the repository in the software management, as I can visualize its packages in the repository from Yast. However, when I click “install” I receive the following message.
YaST got signal 11 at YCP file PackagesUI.ycp:240
/sbin/yast2: line 440: 5357 Segmentation fault $ybindir/y2base $module “$@” “$SELECTED_GUI” $Y2_GEOMETRY $Y2UI_ARGS
Hi
Thank you, I now can visualize GRASS and I installed it successfully. However, wen I look for it among my applications, I cannot find it. I can’t find it even doing a search. I repeated the pòrcess two times (uninstalling and re-installing it) but still cannot visualize… :’(
Cheers
Hi,
I’m back again… unfortunately I have the same problem with PSPP, a statistical software. Correctly installed, can’t see it among the applications, but this time it does not work typing PSPP in the terminal. Any other, magic, hint?
Thank you
I have never used this app
So I’m not sure. Look in Yast at the app and look at the file list tab
See what the executable file is called
Eg; pspp.bin
If that was the case, then pspp should start it, unless it requires some special privileges - which seems unlikely.
it’s always possible you will need a reboot, but again this is unlikely
