Problem with flash player

Hi !

I’m a new user of open suse. I have a problem for connecting with a chat using flash player. Under konqueror everything is working but, now I’m using gnome and the chat don’t want to work with firefox.

I’ve although notice that flash isn’t up to date (only flash player 9 is available in yast)

Is there a way to update flash player and how can i made the chat working?

thanks a lot !

Ok you can get the latest version here
If you have a 64 bit system you can follw the instructions here

You will also need to get nspluginwrapper with yast before following the instructions

sorry but I’ve already try this :

xxx@xxx:~/Desktop> sudo nspluginwrapper -i /usr/lib64/browser-plugins/libflashplayer.so
nspluginwrapper: no appropriate viewer found for /usr/lib64/browser-plugins/libflashplayer.so

nspluginwrapper dont want to install this file >:(

You have to go to yast > software and install nspluginwrapper first

Geoff

Thanks for your interest !

nspluginwrapper is already installer and up to date.

I have the same error using :

sudo /usr/lib/nspluginwrapper/x86_64/linux/npconfig -i /home/Florian/Desktop/libflashplayer.so
nspluginwrapper: no appropriate viewer found for /home/Florian/Desktop/libflashplayer.so
