I am trying to install VLC in my system (SUSE-11.1)
but download is fail the URL given below …

Seems something is wrong with that URL. Weird. May be worth posting in
the OpenSUSE Build Service forum… maybe.
In other news, are you using Moblin? I’m not sure how much it matters but
it seems odd to be using VLC from a Moblin repository. If you don’t know
you probably aren’t using it.
Finally, get it directly from VideoLan (the creators of VLC):
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-suse.html
Click on the 11.1 link.

Hi,
I installed VLC in my System(SUSE 11.1)
Its playing the video without sound .
Does I missed something OR i need to install some third party packages .

you should be using the VLC and Packman Repros to install your codecs
and sound drivers.

Question, is there a reason why you’ve installed SuSE 11.1 instead of
SuSE 11.2? Or you’re just upgrading with VLC?
