Problem with all in one epson stylus sx218

Hi
I have epson stylus sx 218. I installed drivers from avasys and tried to configure it in http://localhost:631/admin. The first test page was good but after restarting the printer can not print. Can you help me?

so you went here

Epson Inkjet Printer Driver (ESC/P) for Linux | AVASYS CORPORATION

??

and downloaded …the 32bit or 64bit rpm ???

are using …OpenSuse 11.4 … ?? and you are using KDE … and you have the 32bit system installed …??

and you are trying to print from OpenOffice … ??

Yes I downloaded the drivers (32bit) from Epson Inkjet Printer Driver (ESC/P) for Linux | AVASYS CORPORATION.
I use Suse11.4 KDE4.6.5
My system is 32bit.
When I try to print from LibreOffice with Model: Epson New Stylus Color Series (localhost:631/admin) is good. But printing is too slow and the text is extended.

If passed immediately to the Epson Stylus Color Series printing is fast and the text is good.

The problem lies in the fact that after rebooting the system no longer can be printed.

the other alternative is to go to OpenPrinting; (the source for open source printing …)

see here

Printer List | OpenPrinting - The Linux Foundation

and for your printer

see here

Printer: Epson SX218 Series | OpenPrinting - The Linux Foundation

the open source driver for this printer works perfectly they say;

why not install that? it will give an alternative driver;

You have only posted a few times on OpenSuse; but you have leapt into configuring in http://localhost:631/admin; that intrigued me; most folks need detailed explanations; you seem confident of much more; tell us about yourself;

AVASYS drivers and OpenPrinting drivers are the same.

I reinstalled Suse11.4. Then install the drivers epson-escpr from here Printer: Epson SX218 Series | OpenPrinting - The Linux Foundation. Then install pipslite-1.5.0-5.i386.rpm; iscan-data-1.9.0-1.noarch.rpm and iscan-2.26.4-2.i386.rpm from here: http://www.avasys .jp/lx-bin2/linux_e/spc/DL2.do. Now the printer and scanner work perfectly. :smiley: :smiley: :smiley:

Thank You!!!

I forgot. I did the following:

$ su -
# ln -s /usr/share/cups/model /usr/share/ppd
