problem with 11.2 install

After installing 64 bit 11.2 with no apparent problems: computer hangs up on desktop boot opensuse 11.2-2.6.31.5-0.1, however I can boot from failsafe opensuse 11.2-2.6.31.5-0.1. I had problems trying to install Ubuntu so I checked out the opensuse. I do not know if this is an easy fix and any help is appreciated! I decided to avoid buying anymore windows system software.

I ran memory test with no problems. The firmware test reported 4 errors. I have windows XP installed on other hard drive - no problems there.

computer hardware is:

To me its looks like graphic card issue.
Can you post the errors generated for firmware by running test.

BTW which graphic card you are using for this PC.

Here is the video card data from CPUID:

I’ll run the firmware again and write down the errors. I could not capture to to USB stick for some reason.

Here are the errors. I have shortened the info. If incomplete let me know. Thanks!! BTW I picked the video card because it supposedly is Linux comp.

[Fail] OS/2 memory hole test

Login to your system as in failsafe(if can), or type 3 at boot option in boot screen for OS.
After login open YaST, and update your Nvidia driver. It should work.

This link would be more helpful as it has 1 click installer:
NVIDIA - openSUSE

I put in an old video card and boot OK. I followed some googled up instructions as you suggested and got it. Outstanding - thanks much!!
