Hi all,
I have a tumbleweed machine that is having trouble mounting USB disks in XFCE.
When I plug the drives in the icons appear on my desktop, though they are dimmer than usual. When I double click to open I get the message “Failed to mount “diskname” Not authorized to perform operation”.
If I become root I can mount the disks without problems, so the disks & USB are fine.
I guess this is down to a permissions problem somewhere, as this used to work up until a couple of weeks ago.
One thing I should point out is that I use networked home directories, and users (YP) but logging in and accessing home directory isn’t a problem.
Having tested with a local user, it seems to work, looks like it’s not creating a directory in /run/media for a network user.
Cheers.
Phill.
