Please use code tags for printouts and commands. Advanced forum editor,
‘#’ button.
Posting in
Code Tags - A Guide

Please paste it complete, from initial prompt to final prompt, using
code tags. Advanced forum editor, ‘#’ button.

Go into the YaST repository configuration module, and disable the DVD
repository.

-=WELCOME=- new poster!!

it is expecting to find the disk you installed from…to fix it, open
YaST > Software Repositories and look down the list of your
repos…you should see “cd:///?devices=/dev/disk/by-id.blah.blah…”

single left click that repo (to highlight it and give it focus) then
down on the left see two boxes “Enabled” and “Automatically Refresh”,
single left click each of those to REMOVE the x which will disable
and stop refreshing…then click “OK” in the lower right corner…

BUT, while there why not familiarize yourself with some really great
advice by reading the paragraph beginning with “IMPORTANT” in this
post http://tinyurl.com/33qc9vu....doing so will help keep your
system stable and a smile on your face…(i’d say that some high
percentage of the problems encountered would be avoided if everyone
follow that advice, all the time…

I know this an old post, but I got here looking for some info, tried the advise link and it’s broken.

You’d better start a new thread explaining your problem.

I think Robin that this poster wanted to read the FAQ suggested by DenverD, ie this one:
NEW Users - openSUSE Pre-install (general) - PLEASE READ
Or:

Ah, that one. Good guessing, thanks.

(I do not like tiny urls… very difficult to guess what they are or
were, if corrupted)
