problem in audio driver and resolution SUSE 11.1

Hi all ,

I am new to Linux , i have just installed it and have 2 problems

1- when changing the screen resolution to some value , it returns to the default value after restart , i want to keep it permenant.

2- i can’t here any sound , it seems no sound drivers installed , so any one can help ?
