Problem google block adding new account>google with KDE

on my leap 15.6 runing KDE when I try to add a google account in systemsettings>online accounts>add new account>google, I get this:

This app tried to access sensitive info in your Google Account. To keep your account safe, Google blocked this access.
how can I have my google account?

Approaching a year now with no fix?

Personally, I would not trust my Google account info with a 3rd party app. Just my opinion.
