My motherboard is Gigabyte 865 with on-board graphic card:
Display:
Vendor: Intel Corporation
Model: 865 G
2D driver: intel
3D driver: swrast (No 3D Acceleration) (7.11)
I installed openSUSE 12.1 x86 and i guess the graphic card driver is not installed correctly.
What can i do?
I have an other problem. when i click on shutdown button, openSUSE shutting down but cant turn off my computer.
Are problems related together?
First off, welcome to the openSUSE forums ahmadnew and we are very sorry that you have run into a problem using openSUSE 12.1:
So what problem are you talking about? No 3D Acceleration? It is not clear to me what the problem is based on your message. If your selected Desktop comes up and works OK, I don’t think there is a serious problem. Many times, users will find good luck when adding the kernel load option called nomodeset, which you type in before pressing the enter key on the normal openSUSE startup. The same setting is part of Failsafe openSUSE startup and can be added to the /boot/grub/menu.lst file as root if you want to. None of this fixes 3D support which may be helpful with some games, but generally you can live without it or find an add in video card that supports 3D such as nVIDIA.
In any event a little more problem description would be helpful and I might add the info you did post was helpful.
