Problem entering sleep S3

It appears my system running openSUSE Tumbleweed doesn’t want to enter sleep S3 mode and is reverting to S2 sleep which is powering down the hard drives and monitor goes to sleep but the CPU fan continues running. I have attached a dump of the dmesg log from the event when I click Suspend to when I wake it up again.
Can anyone interpret what might be the cause of this and how can I fix it so my PC goes in to S3 sleep?

Welcome to openSUSE Forums coxe87b. ACPI issues can be tricky to diagnose, and sometimes a bug report is required. Hardware details are important here. Post back with the model details to start with, and better still report back with the output from the following commands…

sudo dmidecode -t bios
sudo dmidecode -t system
cat /proc/cmdline

Hi and thank you for your reply.

Output as follows:

ewan@yoda-linux:~> sudo dmidecode -t bios# dmidecode 3.1
