I am booting from a Live Cd on a Dell LatitudeC800 openSUSE 11.0 Gnome 32bit. Everything works fine through the boot. The problem is it never starts. It opens and I chose openSUSE11.0 it loads the Kernel goes through the system check and I get a loading screen with a progress bar. This bar finishes and the screen goes black like it would if I were starting an application. It makes noise like its doing something and after about 30sec it stops and the screen never changes from black.
It could be a graphic card issue or a bad download
At boot of cd at boot screen choices- press F3 and select ‘vesa’
see if that is better
I tried VESA and there still is no change. I am attempting a slower burn.
There is a media check option when you boot, use that to check the disc.
