Problem after instaling gnome elegant theme pack

I have just installed gnome elegant pack, and I think it messed mine configuration files… I have these problems:

  1. Nautilus don’t showing the desktop (guess it is not loading at login)
  2. Don’t have window borders with desktop effects turned on
  3. In the Menu Bar under Places the file browser which open these places is not nautilus anymore, It is now Dolphin

please help, if someone have clue what to do…I tried googling, but didn’t find solution…except for windows borders to add “metacity --replace” in startup, but then I can’t have desktop effect turned on

Create a test user and login, does the issue replicate for the test user?

I solved this two problems deleted files .config/menus/gnome-applications.menu and all directories in .local/share

I will try now your proposal

with test user I dont have problem of appearing window border when effects set on profile Default, on other than that profile I don’t see borders… But when logged as me, I can’t see borders with turned on desktop effects even with Default profile loaded. Maybe it has something with that theme needs murrine engine. Maybe it needs more resorces on graphics. I have old intel 915 graphic on laptop. Compiz works fine with other themes

On your test user start up ccsm and use that to play around with the settings to see what works/doesn’t work. On your normal user start ccsm and check the window decoration box is selected.

All problems solved. Reinstalled compiz one item by one. It appears that compiz-bcop wasn’t installed. Now everything works like charm. Thank you on help;)
