I would like to set a question: How come openSuse don’t 11 include hplip? in fact it doesn’t recognize my hp3845:’( recognized by the other distros. Why?

It’s there, just not installed by default 
For HP printers/scanners I’ve normally installed hplip via YaST or
zypper and then as root user run hp-setup. Then use hp-toolbox to
control, never used YaST.
