GGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRR I have now spent hours and paper and ink on trying to resolve this!!! I am about fed up, I am trying so hard not to use Windows and to keep Linux, but I have just got to give in. The printing is SO important if I can’t get that right I will have to abandon it until it resolves itself one day. I have tried to make sense of cups etc, but for my poor morphine brain its not easy to understand. All I get is a cropped image that is frankly useless. It keeps trying to put borders on and I don’t want that. The image is so weak an wishy yet another waste of paper and ink. This is getting expensive.

In yast , hardware, printers select add drivers. A list should be there. Or with gimp add gutenburgh drivers. Worked for the epson r200. Click around, somewhere in there it works.

You wrote gutenburgh, maybe you mean gutenprint?

yes, that’s gutenprint.

Done all that. My comp did a complete failure dur to Windows. So will have to re think on what course of action to take. Not sure if Suse can offer what I want. I t does offer other areas but photography and printing is the most important. I have to empty my bin now of the test prints which were so unsuccesful.
