I don’t recall seeing this on previous versions of openSuse (did I spell that right?:)). In fact, I don’t remember this happening before on LEAP 42.1 either. Should I add my user name to the “lp” group? I wasn’t sure, so I didn’t do that yet. After the first print, it didn’t prompt for the password again.
Sorry, but no.
The main page of these forums say in large green characters:
You will see likewise on all other openSUSE websites.
And on your system:
henk@boven:~> cat /etc/os-release NAME=openSUSE VERSION="13.1 (Bottle)" VERSION_ID="13.1" PRETTY_NAME="openSUSE 13.1 (Bottle) (x86_64)" ID=opensuse ANSI_COLOR="0;32" CPE_NAME="cpe:/o:opensuse:opensuse:13.1" BUG_REPORT_URL="https://bugs.opensuse.org" HOME_URL="https://opensuse.org/" ID_LIKE="suse" henk@boven:~>
How difficult can it be. lol!
For me, very difficult. rotfl!rotfl!
Today I printed something, it didn’t ask for a password. Must have been a one-time thing. I did add myself to the “lp” group, no idea if that’s why. One of life’s mysteries, perhaps…
