I’m having trouble getting my Kodak ESP 3.2 AiO printer/scanner working with 12.2 x86_64. I followed the instructions here: https://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/how-faq-forums/unreviewed-how-faq/473482-installing-kodak-print-driver-cups-kodak-esp-21xx-92xx-kodak-hero-3-1-9-1-a.html with the exception that I installed c2esp26.tar.gz rather than c2esp24.tar.gz, as I figured it was the latest version. After following the instructions I am able to get the printer to print a self test page, but not anything else. If I send a regular test page to the printer it responds by going through its print preparation routine, but then stalls and eventually times out. I have tried both the Kodak ESP 3 and Kodak ESP 3200 driver. Any ideas about what might be wrong or missing? Would really like to get the printer working, as it sucks to have to boot into Windows just to print something. Thanks.

Have a look at /var/log/cups/error_log for any error messages produced after trying to send a print job.

This is a very uncommon printer, and I don’t have any experience with Kodak printers, so can only point you at this thread:
Linux Mint Forums • View topic - Problem with Kodak esp 3.2s - No driver available
The user reported that the Kodak/ESP 310 driver was working for their ESP 3.2 printer.
Here is an excerpt of the contents of the error log. Not sure where the “samsung” is coming from. I have it set to use one of the Kodak drivers.

Please enclose output like this within code tags. Is this a network-connected or usb-connected printer?
Please post your /etc/cups/printers.conf here. (I’m interested in the URI defined in that file.)
The printer is connected via USB.

When you compiled the Kodak drivers, did it produce several PPDs to choose from? If so, it might be worth trying the ESP C310 driver. I’m not sure what else to suggest, except searching and reading threads on other forums concerning these printers.
Just a thought: Since it’s a network printer, you could consider using Google Cloud print to access your printer, provided you have a Windows, Mac, or Chrome OS box available.
http://www.niftiestsoftware.com/cups-cloud-print/
You Linux box, smartphone, or similar device connected to the web could then print to it.
You must know something. I deleted the printer setup and added the printer again with the YAST utility. This time I chose the C310 driver from the list as you suggested and it worked! I was able to print a cups test page. Thanks very much.
Glad it worked for you. I only know what I read and linked to back in post #2. The Linux Mint user (chesh) reported
