Yes, the application ‘Lekha’ is in the menu but the pdf file does not open in this, like: right click pdf file select open with Lekha–nothing happens. the pdf file does not open with libreOffice writer and ‘PDF Mix Tool’ also. It opens only with with Document Viewer, but does not print.

I’m not a Gnome user, and I have no idea about the particular pdf file(s) you are having issues with. Evince might be another option here. You may need to submit a bug report if you think Gnome’s document viewer is the cause of the printing issue. Clearly, printing via the ‘lp’ CLI command works as expected, so something the document viewer app does (eg print options) that is different.

I think there could not anything wrong with ‘Document Viewer’ because it has been printing earlier and I have not re-installed it or Leap-15.4.
Can someone who is knowledgeable in Gnome help out? You, being a Global Moderator, may know who can help.

Well, we already demonstrated that printing from a terminal works as expected, so nothing wrong with the CUPS filter chain as such.
We’re all just volunteers here. If someone can assist further they will.

Hi deano,
I installed the package ‘Atril Document Viewer’. It opens and prints all pdf documents. So, the problem has been solved.
‘Okular’, as suggested by the forums you had forwarded, did not work.

Thanks for the update. As you can see there are options.
Anyway, I recommend that you upgrade your old Leap distro version as soon as you are able. That might resolve the issue you are impacted by.
