i am trying to take some snapshots of our website for documentations purpose, when i press print screen, nothing happens.
Even i try to paste in kolour paint, but nothing is copied.
How can i enable print screen to work with,it was working in gnome session,i am using currently KDE4.1.
Thanks
One place I could think to check the keyboard shortcuts for KDE4.
I’m not sure exactly where that, Becuase I’m not a KDE user and I am not currectly in front of my SUSE system. Sorry.
That’s where (in Gnome) I know the print screen button is configured.
Hope that works.
I must admit, this doesn’t seem to work in kde4
Even if you set it up in keyboard shortcuts.
kde3 is fine
you can start snapshot from the menu or a terminal
Ah. Okay, sounds like a KDE4 issue in that case.
ok,thanks for the inputs.
I was willing to use a program for it.
But just examine that SUSE application icon is missing from the left side down corner.
Ah… KDE4.1.
How i restore that button.
make sure widgets are unlocked first (right click unlcock)
then right click panel, add widget ‘application launcher’
you may have to move it
when in place lock widgets
KSnapshot in Utilities is one of the programs that has already been ported to KDE4.
Thanks,
Currently i am using that software.
But pushing keyboard print button is more easy job.
But its not working in kde4.x.
