Press-to-select on a D630

I just got a Dell Latitude D630 and installed 64-bit 11.3. I would like to allow the mouse to have the press-to-select available in Windows. I have searched all over the internet but have been unable to find any information about this for Dell laptops, only Thinkpads. How do I enable press-to-select and change the speed of the mouse?

You need to say which desktop you are using. There are options under System settings in KDE and presumably similar ones on other desktops.
