In addition to https://software.opensuse.org/package/librecad
is it possible to offer a package based on either the latest commit
or the latest pre-release tag on a repository’s master branch?
Is this something I could help with?

Hi
Create an account on OBS? Copy the existing package to your home build space and create a service file to pull the latest git release?

I doubt the graphics folks want an unstable (as in git release version), but you can always ask.
Thanks!
What would be the recommended alternative way to offer a pre-release?

Hi
Add unstable to the package name so they could both co-exist. Then you
could run a _service file that would build based on git release.
