PPPOE problem

Well,hello…
Im new in linux world.Before i used ubuntu,but only for 2 days and then i unistalled it(it was with wubi).Yesterday i found the way to install openSuse,but i cannot solved 1 problem:to connect to the internet using pppoe.Can someone tell me how to do it?

Much of it depends of the equipment you are using .

  • Do you connect via ethernet cable from the networkcard to a router?

-Do you have a DSL Modem and want to dial into the internet when you use it?

What do you use then to connect to the internet . It is important to know if you only need to configure your Ethernetcard or also something else.

Regarding your card try the following:

SDB:Realtek 8139 Driver Problem - openSUSE

it was written for 10.1 but maybe it is still a problem. If it solves your problem please tell us because then the article can be updated.

Can you please guide me how to install internet in the both methods.

Go to Yast>Network Devices>DSL and set it up if u have already connected the cable, just do a bit of exploring in SUSE and u will find everything u need :slight_smile:
