Powerdevil screen blanking time

In 11.1 KDE 4, eliminating or changing the screen blanking time doesn’t seem to do anything. Anybody have any pointers?

Work thru all the powerdevil settings to disable any and all ‘Enable display power management’

Also check in edit profiles - screen
make sure you uncheck there too

As a follow-up, the setting that I had to change was in Configure Desktop => Display, then the Power Control Tab, then uncheck the Enable display power management. Until I did this, it didn’t seem to matter what I did in Powerdevil.

I’m reported it a long time ago, and now it seems to be fixed, more info:

Thanks for the update. I do wish they would issue this fix as an update to 11.1’s KDE 4.1 so people don’t have to change to KDE 4 Factory repos just to get working display power management.

I don’t know anything about 4.1. It’ll be surely fixed in 4.2, because this is the latest stable version.
