Powerdevil screen blanking time

In 11.1 KDE 4, eliminating or changing the screen blanking time doesn’t
seem to do anything. Anybody have any pointers?

YES.
It’s a pain in the ***

Work thru all the powerdevil settings to disable any and all ‘Enable
display power management’

Also check in edit profiles - screen
make sure you uncheck there too

Thanks! Hope they work on refining that for 11.2.

As a follow-up, the setting that I had to change was in Configure
Desktop => Display, then the Power Control Tab, then uncheck the Enable
display power management. Until I did this, it didn’t seem to matter
what I did in Powerdevil.

I’m reported it a long time ago, and now it seems to be fixed, more
info:
‘Powerdevil, Lithium, Power Management - 1’

Thanks for the update. I do wish they would issue this fix as an update
to 11.1’s KDE 4.1 so people don’t have to change to KDE 4 Factory repos
just to get working display power management.

I don’t know anything about 4.1. It’ll be surely fixed in 4.2, because
this is the latest stable version.
