Power Settings will not persist

I’m new to openSUSE Tumbleweed, but not to Linux or GNOME. Every time I change them in GNOME power settings once I leave the screen they revert back to the previous settings of 5 minutes for screen blank and suspend for power button behavior. Is there something different about openSUSE that I am missing to be able to change these power settings?

Hi and welcome to the Forum
Not seeing that here, is thermald installed by chance? If so, remove that and see how it goes.

I checked, thermald is not installed. I like openSUSE, it’s the most fps I’ve been able to get on my NVIDIA 3080TI GPU gaming rig, but this is one annoying papercut.:frowning:

Hi
Can you create a test user and login as that user and see if power settings are ok. That will check if it’s a system or user issue.

I saw similar issue in the forum, cannot find it now.
Intel workstation system. Issue is with BIOS settings for energy saving and applying BIOS changes.
