Power failure

Experienced a power failure while Open Office was open. Now I get a message "Document file ‘xxx.ods’ is locked for editing by: Unknown User. Open document read-only or open a copy of the document for editing. “Properties” shows the normal user entries. I just cannot find anything that will show what is locking the document.

Any ideas? :’(

If you look at the directory you will probably find a hidden lock file.
Delete it (make sure the main file is not opened).

To add: if locked file XYZ.odt is in ~/Documents, look for .lockXYZ.odt (notice the period before lock) Set your filemanager to show hidden files.
