So short-term needing a replacement for the various tools MS traps you into to make it easy to work with SQL Server.
I’m going to be using postgreSQL, and I’m wondering what’s a good strategy as far as a GUI front-end. Any thoughts that meet the following requirements are welcome.

I use DB Visualizer for all of my DB stuff. It’s a GUI and lets you enter
SQL as well. Java-based so it works on multiple platforms, has a free
version (and a for-cost version for some features I never seem to need),
connects to EVERYTHING I’ve ever needed (and a ton of things I don’t need)
via JDBC, etc. Give it a shot.
PostgreSQL also has pgadmin which is GUI-ish and phpPgAdmin which is
web-based like phpMyAdmin and lets you do a lot of things that way.
As a fairly-new user of PostgreSQL I’ve been very impressed with it on
multiple fronts. I came from a MySQL/Oracle (light… I’m no DBA)
background so I’m comfortable with the command line but the GUI tools are
still there as you get used to the faster ways of administration.
