This evening, Thunderbird (91.11) refuses to download messages from my ISP server over a secure TLS connection. It does show being connected to the server, but there is no activity and nothing is downloaded. My ISP states that they see my client connect, but there is no activity and no errors are being logged on their end.
I do find however that if I disable TLS and connect over an unsecured connection, all proceeds normally and my mail is downloaded.
I have used Thunderbird many times since the recent update, so I don’t think it is the problem. The most recent update was gpg2, (and accompanying packages) which was updated this evening. I do not use a GPG key within Thunderbird, but it seems likely that this evening’s updates were the culprit. Since I am not sure of the root of the problem, I am not sure where I might file a bug report.
So revert this update to test if it fixes the problem.

There is nothing to report yet.
I did immediately revert to older versions of Thunderbird, with no change in behaviour. As far as yesterday’s updates, I remember gpg2, but not everything else that was updated. So the only information I can supply is what I already posted. I am unable to download messages over a secure connection even though the secure connection is apparently made successfully. If I disable secure connection, all messages are downloaded instantly.
I went to a very buggy newer version and then back to 91.11 which forced me to create a new profile. All seems to be somewhat back to normal. Thanks for the response.
