I know most of those who use CLI applications for AIM or ICQ or IRC enjoy the benefits of irrsi. I still try to get along with pork, an older (but still good) app. The problem is that when I get offline messages it just prompts me with
<buddy_who_sent_offline_message> [Offline IM sent 1m ago]
and I can’t see the offline message. If there still are pork users, please give me a hint
Thanks for this quick reply. Well, I just try apps in my free time. I tried naim (but it doesn’t work with AIM for the moment, because AIM changed the protocol back to OSCAR, instead of TOC, and naim was using TOC2) then switched to pork, which is old but not necessarily obscure. I would ask to try it yourself and tell me if you can handle this problem, if you don’t have something better to do :). Why use only mainstream application like irrsi with bitlbee all the time? Of course they are good. But pork works good too, except for this thing, which is probably because of my lack of knowledge. So I appreciate your help.
I’ll see. I am bust today.
I don’t spend time with CLI clients when I can run a UI. Even my netbook can manage that. So it will be for most folks today’s computers.
Kopete, I’m sure can manage with AIM.
