When logging in (either online or offline) with my AD account I get high CPU caused by the polkitd process.
The gnome session is loading all the applets/desktop/keyboard mappings/etc… during this time and after 2 to 3 minutes the CPU goes down to normal state.
The same happens when calling the shutdown dialog using:
gnome-session-save --shutdown-dialog
The CPU goes up (polkitd) for about 20 seconds before actually getting the dialog.
When I finally get the dialog, the cpu goes back to normal
This can be reproduced, every time same scenario.
Must have something todo with the winbind because when i login with a local user I do not get this behaviour…
I also don’t know how to start debugging this problem.
Can’t find appropriate logfiles or strace info.
Any help would be appreciated.
