Pointing to a different RamDisk in Yaboot

Good friday everyone!

The computers I’m using are a PPC Imac and Powerbook G4. My question is more in regards to yaboot though.

I’m having a little problem with every boot disk I put in my computer. When I use it, and hold down the startup command, my screen turns white and the finder with questionmark keep blinking.
I can use only the OpenSuse DVD that I burned. I’ve tried Fedora 10, 10 preview, 9, and 6 and all cause the same white screen.

I would say it’s a hardware issue but it happens in both my G3 iMac and my G4 Powerbook. I’ve burned many copies and I now have opensuse 11 running on both computers. I’m new to linux and wanted to burn a whole bunch of distros and just see which I liked the most.

So here’s what I want to do:
I want to put the opensuse dvd in and load yaboot. But from there I want to take the suse dvd out and place in another dvd and just point to the kernal and ramdisk from there. If you press ‘help’ it tells you how you can do this, but I think maybe I’m putting a comma in the wrong place or not closing a bracket…I dunno so if anyone can give me the exact command I’d be very thankful.

Also if anyone can tell me why my computer is only accecpting SUSE dvds and no other type, that would be even more helpful.

iMac g3 384 mb ram, 500 mhz
PBG4 1.25 mb ram. 1ghz

any other info needed I’ll find out.
peace
