PM-Suspend - Logfile pm-suspend.log almost empty

Hello,

since my laptop was resuming from disk slower with oS 12.1 (64bit) then with oS 11.4 (64bit) i wanted to investigate this issue.

Unfortunately, when i looked into

/var/log/pm-suspend.log

it’s nearly empty:

redirecting to systemctl

/usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/06autofs resume suspend: success.
Running hook /etc/pm/sleep.d/02sata_performance resume suspend:

/etc/pm/sleep.d/02sata_performance resume suspend: success.
Running hook /usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/02rtcwake resume suspend:

/usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/02rtcwake resume suspend: success.
Running hook /usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/00powersave resume suspend:

/usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/00powersave resume suspend: success.
Running hook /usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/00logging resume suspend:

/usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/00logging resume suspend: success.
Running hook /etc/pm/sleep.d/00drop_caches resume suspend:

/etc/pm/sleep.d/00drop_caches resume suspend: success.

although there’re a lot more hooks to run in

/usr/lib/pm-utils

May this be caused by using systemd now ? How to find out, if the other hooks are executed and what messages appear during suspend ?

Mine too.

Quite possibly. Maybe the output goes to syslog now.

Hello again,

switched to sysvinit and log-file is filled as expected. No solution, just a workaround.

Before changing the systemstart, i tried to find logentries of suspend but didn’t found them anywhere else.

But does it suspend correctly?

In any case, you could fill a bug report in Bugzilla.
