I’ve used this guide: https://forums.opensuse.org/content.php/191-Set-up-Plex-Media-Server-in-openSUSE-Tumbleweed-Leap-42-1 but it doesn’t solve my problem. I followed it to the letter but the plex still doesn’t load. I’m not sure how to troubleshoot. Plex is one of the main things I use on my machine so would love if someone can help me get past this issue.

There is also a Plex-in-a-box from SUSE studio, did you start from this?

Hope it wil help a little.
You may need to manually create a group called plex and add the plex system account to it.
EDIT/UPDATE:
I realize this thread is a bit dated; however using the various search sites brings this and two other thread up, none of which have an answer.
It took a bit of digging on my end to realize that was my issue and hope that it can help others in the same boat.
