The latest xdotool version in openSUSE:11.3:Contrib is 20090330, and there has been many releases since, the latest being 20101012. The old version lack many features necessary for daily tasks as well as automated software testing.
[xdotool] lets you simulate keyboard input and mouse activity, move and resize windows, etc. It does this using X11’s XTEST extension and other Xlib functions. Additionally, you can search for windows and move, resize, hide, and modify window properties like the title.
