I can’t find a way to do it myself >:(

Thanks!

RaiCoss,

This is an automated response but we appreciate your feedback. Staff
takes all suggestions and comments seriously. While we can’t
guarantee every suggestion or comment will result in forums changes,
we give each one consideration.

Ditto… Is there really no automated way to do this?

Not really, no - the account is maintained by Novell (it’s the same login
as for the Novell website). As for the posts - they provide a valuable
history to those looking for answers, so we generally don’t remove posts
unless they violate forum rules - otherwise, the community loses out on
the questions and answers provided.

Consider this: deleting posts would make the respective threads unreadable and / or appearing illogic. A forum is also a database of solved problems (that’s even the main reason for a forum if you ask me).

Edit: …as speedy hendersj explains right above me.

I as well would like my account to be deleted. I don’t care either way about the posts.

Its not about you. Read hendersj’s post again.

I suspect it was read given the comment about posts. Actually, it said that there was no automatic way to delete the account, and not that the Novell account couldn’t be deleted. Although it begs the question as to why a guest wants an account deleted that probably doesn’t exist.

I noticed that as well - the account is flagged as “Guest” and there is
no account for someone with that name, so either it’s been deleted (which
reverted the posts to guest status) or it didn’t exist in the first place

  • but if it didn’t, that wouldn’t explain the footer on the message,
which came from the web interface - which requires an account to post.
