Playing classical music

You might try a different approach; rip the CD and then use Audacity to compose one large file and edit away possible empty gaps as you wish. Audacity isn’t too hard to learn to use if you haven’t tried it, just drag and drop the various ripped files onto the time-line in the correct order, edit and then save. Some extra work perhaps but it might be a decent solution if you wish to have the symphony (etc.) as a whole and continuous piece without pauses between the acts. Rip the CD to wav for better sound quality.

Cheers

Interesting. Thanks.

You’re welcome
It struck me that if the different acts (allegro, adagio …) consisted of multiple audio tracks each this approach may be a bit tedious, however if the CD holds only one audio track per act, which I think they usually do (or am I wrong?), it might be worth the effort?

It is typically one track per symphony movement, or per opera act.

OK thanks,
