plasmoid-networkmanagement

I am having a network problem with setting up Mobile Broadband [crash]. The KDE forum advice included:

I don’t understand the status of this bug. It’s reported for KDE 4.5.4 in
December 2010, then supposedly fixed in January 2011.

Yet NM still crashes when trying to add a broadband USB modem in KDE 4.6 in
March 2011 (openSUSE 11.4).

What does this mean? KDE 4.6.0 does not contain the January fixes?

Plasma NM does not follow KDE SC release schedule, so it does not matter if you
are using KDE SC 4.5.4, 4.6.0, 4.6.1, 4.6.2, etc. Your distribution must
compile a newer Plasma NM package with the fix in
git://anongit.kde.org/networkmanagement.

QUESTION :: How do I make the fix in openSUSE 11.4??

Seems like no resolution to network manager yet, i’ve tried 11.4 and 12.1 looked at many solutions on all the forums, tried everything but still can’t get mobile broadband to work in SUSE!! This one looked promising GNOME NetworkManager Applet in KDE in openSUSE 11.4
but needed a connection to the internet to complete which, without network manager i don’t have, so… would really like to get SUSE working properly for me, such a nice looking OS but not usable with mobile bband :\

@siouxzy: You should start a new thread on this, and include a suitably descriptive title. Tagging on to an old thread, that is not specific to your own situation may not attract the attention of others who could help. With mobile broadband devices, a lot comes down to the device in question, so you need to provide information about your hardware mobile broadband hardware. (I’ve been using my built-in broadband device successfully with KDE NM for 18 months or more, and previous to that a number of usb dongles).

I don’t see a problem. Connect with wire use the guide and surf with mobile broadband afterwards
