plasmashell and X high CPU load

I have installed tumbleweed snapshot 20190521 via zypper dup.
After reboot the system is slow and top shows a high CPU load for plasmashell and X

I use kde with a nvidia card (quadro K4200 GK104GL) and driver nouveau.

After a logout and login I load only top: plasmashell’s CPU load is around 35% and without doing anything it grows to 120-130%.>:(
Loading seamonkey (browser) it reaches 155-165 %.

I have already see this problem 2 years ago but this was solved.
Anybody with same problem?

OK Problem is not present with a new user.
I checked in journalctl but found nothing strange.
So I removed in ~/.config the directories akonadi, session and plasma-workspace but this didn’t solve the problem.
I renamed ~/.config in ~/.configbad and the problem was solved; now I need to re-enter all my settings >:(

Any ideas which directories /files can be the culprit?

My first try would be “plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc” on the basis it may be a widget you have that’s causing the load.

You could make a copy of ~/.config as, for example "~/.config-good then copy half of the contents of your “configbad” to “config”

If that doesn’t re-introduce the problem then save that as config-good and copy half of the remaining configbad, keep going with the binary split until you find the offending directory/file.

If the first half does re-introduce the problem then remove half of those… etc etc.

I’m doing a backup and 'll try your advice. I have already compared the two plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc. They are not identical but I don’t see anything strange in the old version.
