Plasma Desktop

I have been using Opensuse 11.0 for only a shot while, but I am curious
to the purpose/function of the plasma desktop. The widgets are
interesting, but I have been unable to find another legitimate function
of the PD. Am I missing something obvious, or is the PD merely fluff?

I was wondering the same thing. I haven’t figured out how to make use of it. Also, if I close it, how do I get it back if I want it? I looked at the links provided by Cryovac but didn’t actually see anything that answers the basic question – what is it and is it useful?

I was wondering the same thing. I haven’t figured out how to make use
