Pivot tables from multiple tabs

I hadn’t noticed the consolidate function in LibreOffice. Using it is not very intuitive and the help instructions are not clear. I attempted several ways to use the command without success. Even if I can get clearer instructions, there seems to be little advantage in using Consolidate over the copy&paste method I resorted to earlier.

One unexpected benefit of copy&paste is that the tabs (or sheets) are linked, not static. Changes made to the underlying sheets are reflected in the consolidated sheet.
