Running tumbleweed.
Update done automatically. It has been working for a few months with no issue (I mean the update process)
Today I have an issue with Pipewire update.
Anyone can give me some advice ? Should I be downgrading ?

Can you explain in more detail about the issue you’ve encountered?

Yes indeed… Thank you.
I chose option 1 (keep). Should I be removing it since apparently not in the repo anymore ?
In the other post OP said no more sound after removing it. I am not really tek savy and probably unable to fix issues so a bit scared removing anything.
Is your sound working following the update?
Yes it is. but since I have not removed the newest version already installed on my system, I guess nothing has changed. The weird part here is that ‘Software Update’ is offering a downgraded version of Pipewire.
Problem: problem with the installed pipewire-media-session-0.3.38-3.5.x86_64
Solution 1: install pipewire-media-session-0.3.38-2.1.x86_64 from vendor openSUSE
replacing pipewire-media-session-0.3.38-3.5.x86_64 from vendor http://packman.links2linux.de
Solution 2: keep obsolete pipewire-media-session-0.3.38-3.5.x86_64
My system is unaffected by this besides the pop up from ‘Software Update’ about the supposed update. Semantic is also wrong if you check the versioning. pipewire-media-session-0.3.38-3.5.x86_64 is newer than pipewire-media-session-0.3.38-2.1.x86_64
Pipewire 0.3.39 moved media-session into a separate module, https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/media-session, which apparently wasn’t picked up correctly. Pipewire also recommends to use wireplumber instead of media-session, which isn’t available at all.
I assume downgrading until this is fixed is the reasonable option.
Thanks. Downgraded and sound is Ok.
I was able to upgrade after
