piklab C compilers

Hi enlightened gurus
I’ve managed to build piklab, its massive !
I’d like to be able to compile .asm files so I can edit the .asm file then build it.

I think configuring the toolchain to use the small device C compiler is the one to use.
I’ve found sdcc and installed it. This computer has installed 11.3x86-64.Gnome DM
piklab is finding sdcc. I’d like to find gputils and gpasm. I could also do with some help getting this app building .hex files.
My target PIC is a 18F2550 at the moment
I’d really like not having to run mplab in a VM, or relying on other people to modify s/w for me.

Many thanks
Richard

Hi
Why build, gputils is here;
http://software.opensuse.org/search?q=gputils&baseproject=openSUSE%3A11.3&lang=en&exclude_debug=true
piklab here;

You could ask the gputils builder to push a request through so it’s
added to the Education repository?
