Pidgin user data directory

I was using Ubuntu and installed Opensuse 11.4. I have installed Pidgin 2.7. I copied the old .purple directory from Ubuntu into my Opensuse home directory. But now the Pidgin is not reading the data, logs and configuration from the .purple directory.

Help!

Is it same version as the one you were using on ubuntu? Version
difference might be causing it. And I can confirm that my preferences
are too on .purple directory. And in case you wonder directory
structure, here it is:

yasar@yasar-laptop:~/.purple> ls -al
toplam 204
drwx------ 7 yasar users 4096 Mar 11 03:44 .
drwxr-xr-x 91 yasar users 4096 Mar 11 11:08 …
-rw-r–r-- 1 yasar users 11083 Mar 11 00:41 accels
-rw------- 1 yasar users 12162 Mar 11 03:44 accounts.xml
-rw------- 1 yasar users 120470 Mar 11 03:44 blist.xml
drwx------ 3 yasar users 4096 Ara 21 12:41 certificates
drwx------ 3 yasar users 4096 Ara 23 22:30 guifications
drwx------ 2 yasar users 12288 Mar 11 02:02 icons
drwx------ 5 yasar users 4096 Mar 10 21:47 logs
-rw------- 1 yasar users 19570 Mar 11 03:44 prefs.xml
drwx------ 2 yasar users 4096 Ara 21 12:41 smileys
-rw------- 1 yasar users 1613 Mar 11 03:44 status.xml

Yes it has these files and directories. But when I try to view the logs and start typing a name, no suggestions appear.

Now its working! Looks like Opensuse somehow configured programs to have their own config on first run.
