PhotoRec is a companion program to TestDisk, an app for recovering lost partitions on a wide variety of filesystems and making non-bootable disks bootable again.
Hi there. Since TestDisk and PhotoRec comes from the same developers (CGSecurity), is PhotoRec a totally different and independent product or is it already integrated in TestDisk?
Please clarify this for me.

really!
you know what you need to do, imo you need get yourself a thing called
a “browser” and when you do you will (probably) find a blank where you
can type in stuff like “TestDisk and PhotoRec” (you want even have to
type it, most times i just copy and paste it) and press enter…and,
then look at the long list that results (the list is sometimes called
“search hits” or “search results”)…more often than not the maker’s
web site will be very near the top of the list…
i use a “searcher” named Google, you should give it a try…it is
often faster than posting in the openSUSE forum and waiting for
someone eles to “search” for you…give it a try sometimes…it can
be kinda fun…kinda like the game i used to play as a kid called
“Hide and Seek”
and, if you want to you can do like me and do other folks search work
and come back and report the results and collect “Thanks.” like the
one you gave me…
i’m piling them up and plan to trade them for some drugs, sex or rock
and roll!

Give a hacker a fish and you feed him for a day.
Teach Google and you feed him for a lifetime.
